Invitation to the EIT Food Country Representative Slovakia Discussion

On 28 May 2026, the event “Discussion: Supporting Dialogue with Regional and National Authorities” will take place at the AgroBioTech Research Centre of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. The event will focus on supporting cooperation between public institutions, research, innovation actors and the agri-food sector. The programme will address the role of EIT Food in supporting innovation in the agri-food sector and modern biotechnology, as well as in strengthening innovation capacity and excellence through the knowledge triangle – education, research and business. Special attention will also be given to cooperation opportunities within SIET StartHub of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, which creates space for supporting entrepreneurship and connecting students, researchers, startups and partners from practice. The programme will include topics such as EIT Food priorities, funding opportunities for activities in Slovakia, RIS3 and the National Strategy for Research, Development and Innovation 2030, as well as the development of the national research infrastructure platform FNH-RI in the field of food, nutrition and health. The event will also include a moderated discussion on the topic: How to connect policies, innovation and practice for a competitive agri-food sector.
